Tyler's CN Climb Fundraiser
Just nine years ago, Tyler Mosher was told by doctors he would never
walk again. Now he is walking for others...
Tyler , the current Canadian and World Champion in Adaptive Snowboarding, will
be climbing the CN Tower on Sunday October 25th, to raise funds for United way.
Help him by donating to his campaign at http://my.e2rm.com/personalPage.aspx?SID=2398665.
CHECK IT OUT: Alexa's 2010 journey
As the September draws to a close, I am returning home, after having
just wrapped up my last pre-season on-snow training camp for this year. Our
camp was held on the Farnham glacier in British Columbia's Purcell mountain
range. In past years, we camped in tents at the foot of the glacier and ascended
the glacier each morning with a combination of Arctic Tundra Terrain Vehicles
and Snow Cats. This year, however, we had the luxury camp living in the condos
at Panorama Ski Village and commuting to the glacier each day via helicopter.
2009/2010 Canada~Snowboard Judges Training Courses
The 2009/2010 Judges Training Courses are coming soon to a town near
you. The current and future of Canada's Snowboard Judges are getting prepared
to increase their knowledge and skills to assist event organizers, athletes,
and the sport in general. The judges help in pushing the limits of execution
and expectation of trick development in freestyle snowboarding.
Judges are an integral part of the sport, and play a role similar to coaching,
as they explain to athletes and coaches the expectations and how to develop
tactical placement and execution of tricks.
