  BGV Star’s  week-end
Jan 27 2010

From 5th to 7th February, 2010 the largest event in the Russian snowboarding world will take place in the «Metallurg-Magnitogorsk» Ski Resort (Bannoe Lake) . The legendary 4Star BGV Fest is bringing the 2009/10 BGV Tour to a close.

As 4Star on the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour the event requires a high standard snowpark. The construction of the park has almost been completed and will consist of 3 parts (from top to bottom): a rail, Big Air and  jib section with multiple boxes.

Invited and wild card riders from all over Europe and Russia will compete fiercely for a total prize purse of 600.000 Rubles ($20 000) over three days.  On February 5th 2010, the Russian Open Championship will decide which  4 wild card riders will get a ticket to ride at the BGV Fest. Back this year are some of the «BGV veterans» such as Otto Vejola (Finland) and Sergey Lapushkin (Russia, Novosibirsk).  Many riders will make their first appearanace at the BGV Fest this season including Petja Piiroinen (Finland), the younger brother of Peetu Piiroinen who is the current World No. 1 on the TTR world ranking list.

There will also be many surprises for the fans as the event partners are preparing a new recreation area with lots of entertainment. You can find a huge MTS chalet, where you can warm up a bit, recharge your phone, or watch mobile news and movies. Volkswagen will present their awesome cars  at the Volkswagen Pit Stop, where you can relax and drink coffee. But that's not all. Volkswagen Off-Road Drive will allow their guests to test the Touareg and Tiguan and try to overcome obstacles on a specially built road.  And, of course, contests, gifts, fun-jibb contest for everyone, plus a great and exciting atmosphere is awaiting you.

Do not forget that BGV Fest is also the biggest three days winter party in Russiа.  DJ Denis, DJ Larie1 (hip-hop, soul, reggae, disco, electro) and Electro DJ'z (hip-hop, funk) will rock the crowds.
