Enni is a real Ruka local, born in Rukajärvi, 5 kilometers from Ruka ski resort and has been riding her whole life at Ruka BatteryPark. She is a living proof that Ruka provides great training conditions for upcoming young riders and helds great events.   “Bringing a TTR event here is great for all us Finnish girl riders, as there are not too many opportunities here at this level. It really gives a chance for the riders to develop.” Said Enni after her last year’s win.

A lot of side events will be organized, including bowling, theme parties and last but not least… possibility to see the mystic forests of Northern Finland, where the reindeer roam freely! This is what Polish riders Agnieszka Rusin has to say about her last years visit: “The BatteryPark was perfectly shaped and provided a progressive playground for the girls, with its double kicker line and diverse rail section. The international riders were impressed by the park and enjoyed the exotic experience. It’s easily one of the best parks I have ridden in Europe”.

The four day long event brings together all levels of girl freestyle enthusiasts to have fun together! The event, what culminates into the 3Star TTR Slope style competition, is the event not to be missed. So make sure you book your flights for this year’s grooviest event!

ABOUT RUKA:
Not only the contest Oakley Girlsessions, but also the resort itself with it‘s Battery Park is famous for breeding fresh talents like Enni Rukajärvi, Heidi and Ville Paumola or snowboard pro Antti Autti who are the most prominent Ruka Park Team riders. The Battery Park is Finland‘s most popular park and has one of the biggest Set-ups in Europe. Furthermore, it opens early in the season and is completely illuminated and hence offers long riding days. Ruka, located in the very north of Finland is surrounded by a beautiful landscape and is known for it‘s long winter season. The regular season lasts from mid-October to the middle of May and is followed by a summer slope. One slope stays open for everybody until the middle of June and various summercamps for freeskiers, snowboarders and alpinists are offered during this time. Just as the Battery Park, all the resorts‘ slopes are illuminated and lifts are open from 9:30 A.M. till 7 P.M. and even until 11 P.M. on Fridays. Although Ruka is far in the north, close to the polar circle, it‘s still very accessible. The Kuusamo airport is only 30 minutes away from the resort and the airports in Oulu and Rovaniemi are also within reach. More info about the resort can be found on ski.ruka.fi
