The Canadian Adaptive Snowboard Program will hit Mont Tremblant for the World Snowboard Federation (WSF) 2010
Adaptive Snowboard World Cup in conjunction with Canada~Snowboard’s National Championships.

Adaptive Snowboarders from Canada and around the world with physical disabilities will have the opportunity to compete in a sling-shot snowboard cross event against other riders for top spot. This event is produced by Canada~Snowboard and the World Snowboard Federation (WSF).

The Canadian Adaptive Snowboard Program (CASP) will also host prior to the WSF 2010 Adaptive Snowboard World Cup a Train to Train Athlete Development Camp for all athletes interested in training opportunities with the CASP National Team Coach.

THE RESORT
Mont Tremblant is located north of Montreal, in the heart of the Laurentians of Quebec. Mont Tremblant is a 1.5 hour drive from the Montreal-Trudeau Airport, or 6.5 hours drive from Toronto, Ontario. TBC Classification Assessment by WSF recognized Adaptive Snowboard Classifiers

REGISTRATION
Register for the WSF 2010 Adaptive Snowboard World Cup on-line at http://www.canadasnowboard.ca/en/dev/events/

Note: Provincial Membership for all Canadian athletes is required to register – you should update your memberships now if you haven’t done it already.

If you are from outside of Canada there is an option to choose “Outside of Canada” under the provincial drop down menu when you register for a username.

Riders must register on-line as it saves time and secures a competition spot for you.

ELIGIBILITY
A competent riding level of blue terrain is a minimum standard for the Train to Train Camp.
A competent riding level of black diamond and blue terrain is a minimum course standard for competition.


ENTRY FEES
Entry Fee for the Train to Train Adaptive Athlete Developmental Camp is $50.00 CDN.
Entry Fee for the WSF 2010 Adaptive Snowboard World Cup Competition is $115.00 CDN

LIFT TICKETS
Discounted lift tickets are available for official training and competition days from Mont Tremblant. They will have a list of all registered athletes.

TRAINING
Training is available through the Canadian Adaptive Snowboard Program (CASP) Athlete Development Camp March 30-April 1, prior to the event; for more information or to register please visit: http://www.canadasnowboard.ca/en/dev/events/

ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation prices range from $90.00 CND to $167.00 CND for hotel and condo style suites. Choose from the Country Inn and
Suites, Mountain Lodge, or Tour des Voyageurs.

CLASSIFICATION
Classification will take place prior to the event during the training days. Athletes must be classified to participate in the Adaptive Snowboard World Cup. More information on the Classification schedule to follow. SUBSIDIES AVAILABLE
Canada~Snowboard will be providing subsidies to cover travel and accommodation costs to support athletes and coaches to participate in the WSF 2010 Adaptive Snowboard World Cup. Subsidies will be awarded up to $300 per athlete. Please find attached the Subsidy Application form. Please complete the application form and submit to ashley@csf.ca by 6:00pm
PST on March 28nd, 2010. Please note only successful applicants will be notified.

PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded to the top three women and men in each classification category (Standing and Visually Impaired). Awards will take place on April 2nd.

SANCTION
The competition is sanctioned by the Canada~Snowboard.

RULES & REGULATIONS
Helmets are mandatory for all training and competition. The competition is run in accordance with Canada~Snowboard rules and WSF Adaptive Snowboard International Competition Rules compliance (these rules are based on the Federation International de Ski (FIS) able-bodied Snowboard cross International Competition Rules).
