Now it`s only one week until one of the biggest Snowboard festival in Scandinavia kicks off! The conditions in Ramundberget Ski Resort are perfect and still more than a meter of snow and cold temperatures for the coming five days. The parkshapers are working 24/7 on the slopestyle arena to get everything in perfect shape for the event.
The event starts on Tuesday April 27th April with the opening party featuring amazing British
DJ`s URBAN KNIGHTS who always deliver a crazy party atmosphere!
On Wednesday 28th, it`s time for the open qualification with about 80 riders that will fight for
the 10 spots in the semi finals that will take place on Friday April 30th.
During the final day on April 30th, circa 30 invited riders will challenge the top 10 from the
qualifications in the massive arena that is being created in Ramundberget at the moment.
Confirmed for the Friday’s finals are some of Sweden’s top riders including TTR top riders
such as Kevin Bäckström, Chris Sörman and Nils Arvidsson competing against some of
Norway’s top riders like Kim-Rune Hansen, Joakim Krogstie and Sindre Iversen to name
a few.
A total of $18.000 USD will wait the riders in the price purse! $15.000 USD for the men and
$3.000 USD for the women!
And also remember that the event is not all about competition but also a huge end of season
party festival. During the week we will see bands like Sonic Syndicate, Looptroop
Rockers, Joey Fever among others. We also have a solid setup of top international DJ´s
including DJ Kid Sid, DJ NTRL TLNT and Urban Knights.
The Piststilen by Rip Curl presented by Skullcandy with the support of Monster Energy,
Junkyard.se and Ride snowboards are Sweden’s highest rated Swatch TTR World Tour
event. Hosted in Ramundberget resort in the middle of Sweden the event will take place in
a huge slopestyle course build with 100% natural snow. Together with this gigantic end of
season festival the event gathers around 120 snowboarders and 2500 spectators during
the finals. The event will hold qualifications on Wednesday the 28 April, followed by finals on
the Friday on April 30.
