WSF JOB OPENING: PROJECT MANAGER FOR ERASMUS+ PROGRAMS

The WSF is looking for a project manager to plan and implement the ongoing WSF projects, mostly projects co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. The focuses of these projects are sustainable development (environment, climate change), sport participation, youth empowerment, innovation, change management and inclusion.  The deadline for applications is January 15th.

About the World Snowboard Federation (WSF)

The WSF is the world umbrella organization for snowboarding with a membership comprising 43 national snowboard associations and promoters of snowboard events across the globe. The WSF is the international authority for grassroots and development of snowboarding. It offers guidance, tools and initiatives to increase the participation of snowboarding at all levels, focusing on health, youth, education and inclusion.

Please note this is a part-time position (15 hours a week) remotely or preferably located in Innsbruck, Austria that includes participation in activities abroad, mostly in Europe. The project manager salary depends on the federal regulations. The position is expected to start in February 2023.

What is expected from a WSF project manager? 

In this position, the WSF project manager will plan and implement the ongoing WSF projects, mostly projects co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. The focuses of these projects are sustainable development (environment, climate change), sport participation, youth empowerment, innovation, change management and inclusion. The main tasks are the following:

  • Overall overview of ongoing WSF projects;
  • For projects led by the WSF:
    • Coordinate the partner organizations (11) to reach the project objectives;
    • Organize and facilitate the partners meetings;
    • Ensure the quality of the project deliverables and the smooth implementation of all the project activities;
  • For projects in which the WSF is a partner organization:
    • Attend and actively participate in all partners meetings and relevant project activities;
    • Contribute to the relevant deliverables and inputs (research, educational material, etc);
    • Coordinate the project-related activities when the WSF is responsible;
  • Communicate about the projects 
  • Plan the dissemination of the projects results within the world snowboard community;
  • Report on the projects progress to the WSF Executive Committee and during the WSF General Assembly;
  • Support the WSF team in monitoring the budget, accounting, billing and reporting to the funding institutions;
  • Support the WSF team in designing and writing new project applications;
  • Other related tasks. 

Qualifications and skills needed: 

  • Excellent written and oral English; 
  • Excellent skills and experience in international project management, especially projects co-funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union; 
  • Strong administrative and time management skills;
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills;
  • Knowledge in the fields of sustainable development, education, sport policy and inclusion;
  • German or other languages and experience in snowboarding would be valuable assets
