GRASSROOT PROGRAM - Women Project

WSF ProWomen was launched by the World Snowboard Federation in 2015 by a group of proriders such as Kjersti Buaas and Chanelle Sladics.
The purpose of the WSF ProWomen was to have a dedicated umbrella initiative, serving women snowboarding events to highlight a girls and woman friendly approach to snowboarding that resonates through community based activities and shared experiences on the snow is an integral part of all WSF Pro Women events. The past years the needs changed, since there are no longer “only” women’s events on the high level.

From 2020 WSF has been working on a new focus for the project with the research phase. Target group shifted from Pro women to youth and amateur snowboarders which has a broader group of female riders on different levels.

New working group has been established and the work continues with a new name. The goal is to get back to the roots and create a safe and friendly environment for girls and women. To share events, workshops, working groups and to get more involved in different areas and positions of snowboarding from a rider, to a judge, coach, event organiser, board member to all the positions on snowboarding.

The working group will gather ideas, projects, events and workshops to a platform to work on important and relevant topics that are easily accessible. Everyone is welcome to join the group no matter what the gender is.

The purpose of the WSF EVENT CALENDAR is to collect the scheduled and planned dates of all national and regional snowboard events and projects, from Banked Slalom Events, RailJams, Kids Events, Test Rides, Women Camps and so on.

After submission and processing of your data, your event will be listed on WSF EVENT CALENDAR
