Membership & Ranking Benefits

Why Join the World Snowboard Federation?

The World Snowboard Federation (WSF) is the only international organization dedicated exclusively to the development and culture of snowboarding at every level. By becoming a member, you enter a global network of associations cooperating to grow the sport, support athletes, and protect the “for the love of snowboarding” spirit.
We provide the tools, rankings, and educational resources necessary to turn local passion into international progress.

Membership Advantages

As a WSF member, you gain direct access to the infrastructure that drives competitive snowboarding worldwide.

  • Universal Ranking Access (WSPL): List your events on the World Snowboard Points List (WSPL) and provide a platform for non-FIS riders to earn global ranking points. This opens the door for independent athletes to compete on a world stage.
  • The World Rookie Rank (WRR): Gain exclusive access to the WRR, the premier classification for riders aged 18 and under, facilitating the transition from youth talent to professional athlete.
  • EU Development Programs: Participate in high-impact European programs, including the ability to host Safe Shred workshops and join international sport development initiatives.
  • Subsidized Professional Education: Benefit from reduced rates for official certifications, including Judge Education and official clinics, ensuring your staff and officials are trained to the highest global standards.
  • Global Visibility & PR: Every member is featured in the official WSF directory. We provide communication support to promote your national news, events, and activities across our digital platforms and monthly newsletters.

Event Ranking & Sanctioning

Why should you sanction or double-sanction your events with WSF?

Sanctioning your event through the WSF ensures your competition is recognized within the global snowboarding ecosystem. It provides immediate value to organizers and riders alike:

  1. Global Calendar Integration: Get your event listed on the official international snowboard calendar.
  2. WSPL Inclusion (No FIS Required): Provide your event and its participants with World Snowboard Points List (WSPL) status without the requirement of a FIS sanction.
  3. Pathway for Independent Riders: Allow non-FIS riders to earn professional ranking points, making your event more attractive to a wider range of talent.
  4. World Rookie Tour Integration: Sanctioned youth events can be included in the World Rookie Rank, giving young riders the chance to progress through the “Rookie to Pro” pipeline.
