The World Snowboard Day is coming soon. You only have 4 days to wait before enjoying hundreds of free activities in more than 127 snow resorts or cities all over the world to discover the fun of snowboarding.

EuroSIMA (European Boardsports Industry Manufacturers Association, www.eurosima.com) and the WSF (World Snowboard Federation), who launched this event in 2006,invite you to celebrate snowboarding in 32 countries on Sunday, December 20th, 2009.

Focus on what the international snowboard community is preparing for the 4th edition of the World Snowboard Day: France is the leading country for this year World Snowboard Day with 21 events organized! Japan is following with 17 events! The World Snowboard Day will be celebrated for the first time in China with 3 events. 2 snow resorts offer free lift tickets for all snowboarders during all day and the 3rd one will open its slopes for a night session!!

You will also have the opportunity to meet pro-riders such as Mathieu Crépel in La Mongie, France, Kolya Bobyr in St Petersburg, Russia, Elias Elhardt in Kleinwalsertal, Germany or Cyril Neri who will go riding with you in Morgins, Switzerland. And for those who want to save money before Christmas, you will be invited to go riding for free in Garmisch-Partenkirschen, Germany, in Bydalen, Sweden or enjoy lift tickets discounts in Nelson (BC), Canada or Hunter (NY) in the USA for example. But the sickest events of this 4th edition are probably the ones which will take place in St Kilda beach in Melbourne and in Johannesburg!! Yes, in high summer, in Australia and South Africa, you are not dreaming! The Southern hemisphere will also celebrate snowboarding on Sunday, December 20th!
