Modena, Italy – 25th October 2010: As winter begins to throw its white blanket across the mountains in the Northern Hemisphere, one of the first European snowboard events on the Swatch TTR Tour is bringing the snow into the city of Modena in Italy on the 30th-31st October 2010. The 4Star Nissan Stomp-It takes place at the biggest Italian winter trade show, the “Nissan Skipass” which brings hundreds of thousands of people together checking out the newest snow products, as well as, catching a peak of the hot snowboarding action. It is an event already in its fourth year and each year it is growing bigger and better from its 2Star origins. 35 top level international riders are flying in to put on a show in front of the excited fans and compete to move up in the TTR ranking.

Possibility of a new TTR Tour leader
Among the ten invited riders going directly to the semi final are three of the TTR Top10 Riders. The current Swatch TTR World No. 3, Swiss Christian Haller, could with a top podium placement, collect 500 ranking points and sneak into the No.1 spot on the TTR Ranking. However, this won’t be easy as current TTR Tour leader Gjermund Braaten (NOR) will be there and defend this desired ranking spot with all that he has got. Also, last years winner Matti Kinnunen (FIN) and current World No.9 Kevin Backström (SWE), who won the 4Star Absolut Park Spring Battle in April have got plenty of potential to move up in the ranking.

Stomp-It Event Format
The competition takes place on the huge corner jump built out of artificial snow for the occasion under glaring spotlights, blasting tunes and a wildly screaming Italian crowd. Ten riders have been invited directly into the two run semi-final and the remaining 25 riders will have to battle it out for a spot in the semis. In the finals the best five riders will have three runs to show what they got and bring out the most innovative tricks in order to take home part of the
