ABOUT BANKED BAKONY

Banked Bakony is an annual snowboard gathering to celebrate our beloved sport and the community we all live for – with some real “Eastern vibes” in the heart of the picturesque Bakony, Hungary.

The main attraction is a mad banked slalom race on Saturday, but the show starts the day before and ends until the last man standing the other morning.

It is a classic “non-competitive” competition, where legends are not only born on the mountain, but also grab the shovel, raise the glass in the bar or play some music for the fans!

Regardless of gender and ages we were attracting over 120 participants last year from ten racing countries, such as Austria, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, UK, Argentina, Romania and oc Hungary. The youngest competitor was only 6 years old while the wisest one was over 60 years of age. It is a great feeling to see generations merge together and celebrate the pure beauty of snowboarding during this event.
