British Snow Tour: New Dates and New Sponsors for 2010

The British Snow Tour is back and raring to go with a line-up of 14 prestigious British Championship events kicking off from September. Stopping at four of the UK’s top snowsport hotspots – Norwich, Glasgow, Milton Keynes and Castleford – with two new sponsors onboard, a smartprice 3 for 2 offer and a hefty £20,000 combined prize purse, the 2010 British Snowboard & Freeski Tour is set to be a banger.

• 11th & 12th September – British Dryslope Championships, Norfolk Snowsports Centre. Featuring Giro Big Air, Protest Slopestyle & Trespass Ski/Snowboardcross Championships
British Indoor Championships:
• 18th September – Trespass Ski/Snowboardcross Championships & Rail Jam, Glasgow SNO!zone
• 25th September – Giro Big Air Championships, Milton Keynes SNO!zone
• 9th October – Protest Slopestyle Championships, Castleford SNO!zone
British Invitational Championships:
• 22nd October – London Ski & Snowboard Show

About the Snow Tour
Now in its ninth year, The British Snow Tour provides riders with a path from grass roots participation through to the highest level of snowboard & freeski competition in the UK, offering snowboard competitors prestigious TTR points and TTR World Ranking. However, it’s not all about the competition with 500 FREE introductory lessons, FREE product testing, live music and MC, plus amazing 3 for 2 offers on competition entry – the aim is to encourage everyone to get involved. Open to all ability levels from novice to pro and served up across five age categories: Kids, Youth, Junior, Senior and Masters.

About the Schools Tour
The inspirational Schools Tour programme runs alongside the British Snow Tour, stopping off at two secondary schools in each region, Norfolk, Milton Keynes, Glasgow and Castleford to spread the word about skiing and snowboarding to over 5,000 kids. James Thorne, Paddy Graham, Becky Hammond and Pat Sharples will be heading up the tour and dishing out 500 FREE beginner lessons encouraging the next generation of riders to get their shred on.
