The Beaver Valley Banked Slalom is truly one of the only events in Canada where you will find shred “legends” from park, pipe, boardercross and race riding together and alongside the best “groms” and industry icons.

Where staff from your local shop compete against staff from your local park. Where a shred legend will kick your ass riding a 20 year old retro board.

Where the rider drinking a PBR beer next to you on the deck at the afternoon apres might be the marketing director of one of the biggest companies in snowboarding.

Where kids compete against their dads and moms. Where the “ski” racks at the base lodge are filled 100% with snowboards!

This year’s Beaver Valley Banked Slalom will offer another sick day of riding and fun. With one of the best parks open in Eastern Canada, shredders can hit dozens of park features in between and after their banked slalom laps. Plus there is mini-shred zone for the smallest groms, an outdoor BBQ and afternoon apres on the deck featuring live band The Foremast Jacks performing Celtic rebel rock and good old drinkin songs!

Tons of prizes plus mini-jugs of local Beaver Valley maple syrup for everyone. Special accolades for the top industry riders. All supported by the leading brands in snowboarding.

GummiLove Banked Slalom Stoos on March 19, 2016

We go back to the roots at the first GummiLove Banked Slalom on Mt. Stoos. In this vintage discipline of snowboarding it’s not about competition, above everything it’s about snowboarding and fun. The special feeling of being alive while snowboarding down the snow-covered terrain on the Klingenstock will inspire all the participants.

That winning is not the measure of all things, is celebrated in the cozy gathering at the finish area of the contest. As the sun goes down, the party will move on to another location. The winter sports area of Mount Stoos is very centrally located and easily accessible from Zurich, Lucerne, Basel and Zug. No one has to travel far to participate at the GummiLove Banked Slalom Stoos. All News and ongoing information about the contest isavailable at www.gummilove.com. Daniel Rietmann, otherwise known as „Gummi“, came into this world in 1978 in Brunnen (SZ). As a very active and lively child, he received his nickname at just eight years old. At an early age, Daniel conquered the streets of central Switzerland on his skateboard.

Board sports became his great passion and he first tried his hand at snowboarding on Mt. Stoos. This was the beginning of an ambitious career as a Pro-snowboarder. In 2009 Daniel founded a company based on his nickname, “GummiLove”. Together with his wife, Corinne Rietmann, GummiLove is working to empower an attitude of sexual health with the youth. In order to spread the message, „Making safe love sexy“, GummiLove organises a variety of events in the area of freestyle sports. For Daniel it was clear that the first GummiLove Banked Slalom should take place at Mt. Stoos. Though he now lives in Urdorf, Daniel has retained a strong connection to his home mountain, Mt. Stoos, as well as central Switzerland.

A Banked Slalom 2016 Cancelled

The A Banked Slalom organization is forced to cancel the 2016 edition scheduled for the weekend 5/6 March.

Unfortunately the conditions of this winter do not allow any planning of the event and especially the creation of a race course up to that of the previous edition.

For this reason A Banked Slalom will welcome all fans and lovers of the “edge riding” in 2017, when huge amounts of snow will allow us to raise amazing turns as to make us forget what we have not been able to do this year!
A Banked Slalom takes this opportunity to thank everyone, riders, partners and sponsors for the great support they have shown towards the event.

3rd Cappuccino Club Charity Banked Slalom

Cappuccino Club presents the 3rd annual Charity Banked Slalom, 2nd April  2016, next to Kühtai’s famous Kpark, Tyrol. Let’s spend the day together snowboarding on an “insanely fun course“ (KORUA’s ambassadors) and having a good time with old and new friends.

About WSF Banked Slalom Tour

Founded this season through a committee formed by people who have a passion for snowboarding and see the potential for banked slaloms and how they can help promote snowboarding in general. networking national events or series with a common communication platform, starting with few countries where banked slaloms events already exist.

The long term goal is to increase rider participation and resort development of BSL events worldwide. To offer all level of riders fun events, not only focusing on the athletic aspect. Compete but always maintaining and respecting the fun spirit and roots of snowboarding and Banked Slalom. Many questions regarding the state of the industry and snowboarding in general, have led us to believe banked slaloms can revive interest in snowboarding and bring the fun back. We are relying on the network of organizers to share our vision and help us execute this tour, which will become a platform for the future of snowboarding. We want to thank all of the interested organizers from last season for seeing the vision and sharing our passion to begin this Tour.

In its first addition, Spanked Slalom 2016 will be held on Rogla in Slovenia, as a part of the WSF Banked Slalom Tour 2016.

Resort Rogla, known as the organizer of many international snowboard events and the biggest snow park in Slovenia,Fun park Rogla, will present the 1st Spanked slalom as fresh event on the tour.

Spanked slalom will be hosted within legendary Freestyle Week on Rogla, where you can find snow and events for all kinds of taste during the whole weekend.
