Comeback of Ride Her First

Ride Her First made its comeback on Tuesday 26th of March. This professional ski and snowboard competition took place on the “Face de Bellevarde” at Val D’Isère. It is a fully-fledged event and part of the “GEM Altigliss Challenge” which is the most renowned student ski competition in Europe.

Additionally, Ride Her First is a 2* World Snowboard Tour event with €2500 prize money. Plus, it is one of the last freestyle contests of the season, you don’t wanna miss out! Over the past few years, this unique event has attracted some of the best French boarders such as Olivier Gittler, Arthur Longo, Victor Daviet and Victor De Le Rue as well as freeskiers: Guillaume Sbrava, Jules Bonnaire, Sandy and Andy Collet and Theo Lange.

This year, the event was divided into two parts: 45 minutes where the riders are evaluated by the judges, riding two by two on the well shaped park, courtesy of Valpark; one boarder, one skier. Then, we will have a free session where the riders can do whatever they want on the big air, rails and curbs provided for the occasion.

On top of this, an entire day was allocated to promoting the riding culture to all students who take part in the GEM Altigliss challenge; a big turn out!
