Petr Horak is the winner of Quiksilver Snowjam 2011

Petr is the first Czech winner in the history of the contest. He gained most points from all the finalists for his first excellent run in the halfpipe then on rail and finished with a totally perfect trick Backside doublecork 1080 on the Big Air. Petr is new member of the Czech national team and his victory at the finals of Quiksilver Snowjam proved his progression.

This success has clearly confirmed his chance to take parto to the World Snowboarding Championships in Oslo 2012. “The World Championships is the most important event to me and that is why I am training so hard now. Winning Quiksilver Snowjam showed that I can alsowin an international competition, which I did not expect. The atmosphere throughout the day was great, the audience cheered, I really enjoyed it.” commented Peter.

The second place was taken by another Czech rider Tomas Tuzar who scored only 0,6 behind the winner. Finn Nuutti Niemela finished on third position gained , as the most successful rider from numerous Scandinavian team who arrived to Quiksilver Snowjam this year.

Perfect weather conditions attracted over 3,000 people who came to watch the final. “The contest turned out fantastic, I am glad that the young generation of riders were on the winning league throughout the contest. The evening show Nutcase Best Trick was seen by the largest audience in the history of Quiksilver Snowjam.” said organizer and rider Martin Cernik.

Live concert of the band Sunshine in the open air was followed by popular Nutcase Best Trick. Slopes in Spindleruv Mlyn were lighten up and riders showed their best on Big Air. The Best Style Trick took home finish rider Tero Poikajarui for his amazing Backside 540 shifty. The most technical trick of the night was Backside doublecork 1260 by today´s winner Petr Horak.

After Nutcase Best Trick, riders and audience enjoyed live concert of Bug’n’Dub. Snowjam Party then continued at Dolska club till early morning thanks to Bounce Bounce, DJs Friky & DJ Flux, Robot and Ladida performances.

Quiksilver Snowjam is a 3 Star TTR contest and it is part of the TTR (Ticket To Ride) World Tour and gave to all riders valuable ttr points to updrading in the TTR World Ranking
