The Protest World Rookie Finals are back again in Ischgl, Austria, for the “Grand Finale” of the World Rookie Tour 2011 that will crown the new WSF World Rookie Champion. Among the past winners there are todays’ top riders like Peetu Piiroinen, Christian Haller, Gjermund Braaten and Roope Tonteri. In Ischgl we will discover the next!

As the final event in the World Rookie Tour 2011, the stop in Ischgl is the rookies’s last chance to win incredible prizes: invitation to Air&Style Rookie Challange, trip to Chile, photo and video shootings with international media. Thanks to the support of n.asa (new austrian snowboard association) and Ischgl Snowpark a special slopestyle course will host young crippers who cannot wait to bring the progression of snowboarding to an higher level.

“From many seasons the World Rookie Tour program offered the youngsters a fair and clear chance to enter the pro system.” said Martin Frejnademetz, snowboard legend and n.asa President. “ticket to pro event, photo shooting and filming session are the best prizes ever to help a snowboarder’s carrier”.

An Onboard Europe photo shooting will be held straight after the event, from 11 to 15 of april in a secret location to be announced. The shooting is reserved to the best 2 rookies from Livigno Protest World Rookie Fest, plus the best 2 rookies from the finals in Ischgl. In the following days also a Cooler photo shooting for the best girls of the tour.

Prizes for Protest World Rookie Final in Ischgl
– For the overall winner of the event:
o the title of WSF World Rookie Champion
o Filming with Pirate Movie Production
o Photo shooting with Onboard and Cooler
o Freeride Filming Trip to Chile
o Ticket to Air & Style Rookie Challenge 2011 in Innsbruck, Austria.
– For the best girl and the best male grom: a golden ticket to join for free every World Rookie Fest 2011/12
– 5 ticket to Protest World Rookie Fest in Livigno 2012
– and many other goodies like avalanche transceivers from Pieps and Tech Riders.

Participation at Protest World Rookie Final in Ischgl
– Participation at the event costs €350 including inscription, lift tickets, hotel in half board from 6 to 10 April and gifts. For coach, parents and crew the participation fee is €300.
– Every WSF national snowboard associations is invited to register a rookie team consisting of 2 male and 1 female rookies, 1 male and 1 female groms.
– The best riders, both male and female, from the previous stops in Chile, Australia, Italy, Andorra, Czech Republic and Romania are already qualified to the Protest World Rookie Finals (full list below).
– In addition the top 30 riders out of the World Rookie Rank are qualified to the finals in Ischgl
– Age groups: Rookies are born 1993,1994 and 1995, Grom are born 1996 and over.

NOTE: registration of every national rookie team have to be sended by the national secretary or national coach for the complete team of that nation.
