SHRED KIDS are here for the 2019/20 season!

Have you heard of SHRED KIDS yet? It Germany’s biggest snowboard project for kids and juniors. The goal of the project is simple: to take the kids riding and share the stoke for snowboarding with them. 9 places around Germany will host weekly coaching sessions with professional coaches for kids between 5 and 13 years of age.

The locations are: Oberwiesenthal, Lenggries, Sudelfeld, Garmisch, Feldberg, Großer Arber, Geisskopf, Nesselwang, Munich. More info about the locations and dates can be found here.

One test day is free of charge for every child. You can register here.
The kids only have to have the first experience with snowboarding and be able to ride a T-bar lift alone.

Besides coaching sessions, there will also be 2 festivals and 4 camps taking place. For more info check out the website and facebook page.

Germany to Crown the Master of Big Air

Who will be crowned the German Master of Big Air? The showdown will start this Thursday at the Götschen resort in Germany, a former world cup venue. Men and women of all ages will fight for the honor of being called the German Master!

Expect sick prizes, a chill out area as well as many side events.

The competition is open for anyone to enter and to battle for the Big Air title. The best riders will get a WILDCARD for the WST ELITE Event GRANDVALIRA TOTAL FIGHT 2017!

The Boys from Germany are ready for World Rookie Final!

Directly from the German Halfpipe Championships the young German team riders went to Nesselwang to show their skills at Red Bull’s THE STATION -Germany’s best street park. Noah Vicktor , Christoph Lechner , Leon Vockensperger, Talha Karakoca , Leon Gütl , Max Grasl and Niklas Vogt had a good time on the crazy obstacles. Next stop for the young guns will be the World Rookie Finals at Ischgl.

The German NSA is looking for a snowboard freestyle coach

Success in the Olympic Games and World Championships are the highest aim for our top athletes. Snowboard Germany builds the basis for this success. As the national Snowboard Association SNBGER is responsible of the snowboard teams in all Olympic disciplines. To strengthen our team, as of now to we are looking for a Snowboard Coach Freestyle (m/f).

Tasks:

– Coaching the national Freestyle Snowboard team in training and competition
– Coaching the team in fitness and coordination training
– Organization and realization of training-camps
– Creation and controlling of individual training schedule
– Analysis and documentation of the competition results

Requirements:

– High-quality degree in sport (eg. Studies of sports, snowboard instructor)
– In-depth knowledge of the disciplines Slopestyle / Halfpipe
– Practical experience in the snowboard competitive sport as a coach or athlete
– Practical experience in coaching athletes
– High motivation, flexibility and commitment
– Excellent teamwork and communication skills
– Ideal place of employment at training base Berchtesgaden
