Penken Knuckle Huckle is goin’ down from 20 to 21 March

From March 20 to 21 2020 the snowboarding community will gather at the legendary Penken Park in Mayrhofen. For the first time on alpine soil, a contest will go down that solely concentrates on sending it big over a massive knuckle – 12.000 USD prize cash and massive parties included! We’re stoked to share the full story directly from Penken Park Mayrhofen with you guys:

We believe that snowboarding is not just about the biggest kickers or the longest rails. It’s about expressing yourself, being creative, showing style and having a good time with your friends. That’s why the Penken Knuckle Huckle boils freestyle snowboarding down to the essentials on the most reduced setup possible – a simple knuckle.

During the weekend, both, amateurs as well as pros get to send it for cash, goodies and the simple fun of shredding together. The amateurs will go big on Friday and can win wildcards for the pro contest which will go down on Saturday. While the contest on Friday will be judged by two selected pros, the session on Saturday will be riders-judged.

But wait a minute, what’s a weekend full of snowboarding without a party? That’s right, it’s still awesome! But with all that stoke in your veins you’re probably not going to bed at 9, are you? No, of course not. That’s why we’ll host not one but two massive parties after both contest days.

So, mark the weekend from March 20 to 21, 2020 blue and yellow in your calendars, ‘cause you don’t wanna miss this and we don’t wanna miss you!

AMATEUR:

Everyone can register for the Amateur Contest of the Penken Knuckle Huckle.

The winners of our 3 awards win 1.000 $ cash in total and one wildcard each for the Pro Contest on Saturday.

Knuckle King – 250 $ and Wildcard

In the evening we’re hosting a sweet meet & greet party at Scotland Yard together with the pros.

Billabong presents: Zillertal Välley Rälley hosted by Ride Snowboards – Mayrhofen

All eyes  are on Mayrhofen now, where the third event of the popular Billabong presents: Zillertal Välley Rälley hosted by Ride Snowboards will staged on March 10th and 11th. Snowboard teams from all over Europe won´t miss out on another highlight at the Ästhetiker´s home of choice, the Penken Park Mayrhofen. Beside an open Slopestyle Contest, riders can look forward to the infamous Penken Fun Ride Battle on the Coaching Day.  Spots for contest, coaching and fun ride battle will be available at www.valleyralley.at from February 24th on.

With the third out of four events, Austria´s most popular Snowboard Amateur Series will be getting serious in March. The highly coveted Välley Rälley crown is moving closer and riders will throw down their best tricks to win the Billabong Best Trick Award and grab for a spot on the day podium in Mayrhofen, earning valuable points for the Välley Rälley Overall Tour Ranking. In old Äshtetiker manner, all the lucky winners can will be rewarded with tons of medals, prize money and prizes. With the result from Mayrhofen, all riders will further get the chance to improve their position in the World Snowboard Ranking.

Beside the LIMBO RIDE, free Ride Snowboards demo/testing and freebie freestyle Coaching Sessions the infamous Penken Fun Ride Battle presented by Billabong will take place on the Fun Ride slope at the Penken Park on the Coaching Day. Everybody can join in and get pre-registered as for contest and coaching on www.valleyralley.at

The overall winners 2018 will be crowned new Royal Zillertal Välley Rälley Family at the last stage in Hintertux. The tourstop in Mayrhofen will count as a N.ASA (New Austrian Snowboard Association) Austriacup. Even though the coaching is planned for Saturday and contest for Sunday, the Ästhetiker might swap the days due to weather conditions and communicate this just before the weekend.

Vans Groms Open 2018

You´re eighteen or younger and eager to compete with kids at the same age? Or you want to join your first freestyle snowboard competition? Maybe you want to improve one of your last years results?  Or you simply want to enjoy an easy going competition with no pressure at all? Then take your chance and join the 11th edition of the Vans Groms Open at the Penken Park in Mayrhofen at the 6th of January 2018.

 

Park designer Norbert  Benauer from Vorarlberg and his crew will again stand for the perfectly shaped setup and therefore provide ideal conditions to carry out the slopestyle competition.The girls and boys will be judged by experienced judges from the World Snowboard Tour  in the different categories SUPER GROMS, GROMS, ROOKIES and GIRLS ONLY Presumably the setup of the slopestyle will be built up of  a rails or tube and three jumps with differnet sized take offs.

Besides an obligatory goodie bag you´re able to prizes from Vans, the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen and the local shop Greenroom. Overall Winner gets a wild card to the World Rookie Finals.
