Snowmission 2017

The Snowmission is now Quebec’s only non-profit event dedicated to the sport of snowboarding!

From Friday, March 17 to Sunday, March 19, 2017, the Parc du Mont-Comi will be taken over by both experienced snowboarders and rookies eager to learn. The sole objective of the Snowmission is to preserve and expand the wonderful community of snowboarders.

How do we manage to do this? By offering a diversified program that brings people together!

KIDS AS AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE EVENT

Snomission wants to contribute to the development of snowboarding and make the sport accessible to all and that’s why they:

•     Give to the kids access to a special Zone where they can have fun and learn in a safe place
•     Organize the « Slopestyle de la Relève », a more accessible competition that gives every riders a chance to compete in a friendly atmosphere.

THE LARGEST SNOWBOARDING COMPETITION ACROSS EASTERN QUEBEC

Each year, on the Saturday night, more than 100 riders take part in Snowmission’s main competition.

For 5 years, they had the chance to compete in a course designed by Today’s Park and Creations, a business specialized in designing, building and maintaining snowparks and snowboarding events. The main competition gives a chance to experimented riders to compete in an high level course.

$5 000 TO WIN SNOWMISSION SINCE 2005

For the last 21 years, Patrick Trottier has worked in the snowboarding industry as a retailer, but also as an ambassador of this sport. He has taken on a mandate to bring people together by sharing a common passion. Over the years, he has surrounded himself with people as passionate as he is, and who desire

to share and pass on the love for snowboarding. For Patrick it was essential to set up an event that would contribute to the development of the sport, that would keep the community united and the flame burning.

A PLACE FOR WOMEN

For the last 2 years, the Snowmission has given girls a bigger place in its schedule. Activities such as splitboarding and snowpark initiation were given for free.

For the 2017 edition, they are entitled to a free all-terrain workshop with a professional in the field, Geneviève Pilotto.
