This year’s gathering for snowboard women
“At the Superstyle Session we wish to gather all snowboard girls in Norway. The competition is adapted to all levels; the best and the new beginners. This is to make sure that the women have the opportunity to work at their own riding level and also push them to progress to the next level”, explains project coordinator, Lisa Mari Watson.

“There is a lot happening in Geilo this weekend; Session Girl Camp, workshops and meetings for snowboard chicas! There has always been a good turn up of riders at the competition, but this year we hope for a new record” says Watson, who can promise juicy giveaways to all riders!

Girls organizing at every level
What makes this competition so special is that the girls are not only riding, but they are also working behind the scenes to make the event their very own. It’s a competition for girls by girls: “The girls are the MC’s, the girls are the judges, the girls are responsible for the event organizing and the girls create the atmosphere. Women’s snowboarding has developed these last year, not only from the riding perspective but also from the organizers perspective” says Watson.
