After a successful premiere last fall, the World Rookie Camp presented by Ästhetiker & World Snowboard Federation is returning to Hintertux Glacier from November 12 to 16, 2025. Organized by the World Rookie Tour, which has been supporting young freestyle snowboarding and freeski talents around the globe for over 20 years, the camp has become a true springboard for aspiring riders from all over the world.

 

At Betterpark Hintertux, the next generation of riders – on one board or two – comes together to kick off the new season and prepare for the upcoming competitions. The focus is not only on progressing their skills and perfecting new tricks, but also on shared fun, community spirit, and living the true freestyle lifestyle. Guided by the experienced Ästhetiker coaches, participants train intensively – with professional filmers and photographers on-site to capture the best tricks and most unforgettable moments.

 

A highlight of the week is the final Rail Session, where riders can earn points for the World Rookie Ranking (Snowboard & Freeski). On top of that, the best girl and best boy will win a coveted invitation to the World Rookie Finals (snowboard/freeski) – including accommodation, lift ticket, and event entry. As an added bonus, the Rail Session serves as a qualifier for the prestigious Rock A Rail Innsbruck, taking place one week later.

 

The program also features a diverse side program that’s both fun and inspiring: a WSF workshop, skate and trampoline sessions at KaBoom in Kaltenbach, and an exciting visit to the Spannagel Cave on the glacier round out the experience.

 

 

The World Rookie Camp is the perfect blend of professional freestyle training, personal growth, and authentic freestyle community. It’s a place where first friendships are formed – friendships that often accompany young riders throughout their competition journey – and where lifelong memories are made.
