WSF at SnowForum 2007

WSF will present a report about this winter activities and projects for future during the SnowForum in Chamonix, one of the largest board industries meeting in Europe, organized by Source. Follows all info about this important meeting for the development of snowboarding.

European Chamonix snow Forum April 26-29

The Source, Europe¹s b2b magazine for surf/snow/skate is organizing the third annual snowboard industry forum from the 26-28th of April in Chamonix France. Following the success of the previous forums in Laax and Innsbruck, chamonix is the next stop on our European tour. Easily accessible from the rest of Europe it also offers a unique opportunity to ride the Vallee Blanche.

This years Forum will continue to be a unique platform that brings the key players together to discus the European snowboard market and its unique issues. This years timetable is as follows

The opening evening on Thursday and will be followed by two days of seminars. This years seminars are:
European and North American winter 2006/7 snowboard figures Resorts How can we work together to increase the number of snowboarders and the number of days they spend on the mountain
Russia: the snowboarding bear opens his arms-the market and winter destination.
Global warming: the impact on the alps and what we can do The youth market: what makes them tick, how can you best access them.
New marketing techniques: podcasting and mobile marketing.
A review of season and plans for the future: TTR, WSF, Eurosima Mountain division.
Workgroups to formulate plans that can be used as working documents for the Eurosima Mountain Division during 2007/8.

Saturday night is the inaugural Eurosima mountain division Snowball evening to raise money for environmental causes and host the presentation of the European Snowboard Industry Awards, to recognise achievement in the European snowboard industry
