Ready for Season Two of The Snow League?
The Snow League has officially announced its Season Two calendar, introducing an exciting new international event and expanding its competition schedule across three continents.
The Snow League World Challenge Heads to New Zealand
The season will begin with the inaugural Snow League World Challenge at Cardrona Alpine Resort in New Zealand from September 18 to 20, 2026. The unique event will bring together some of the world’s best snowboard and freeski halfpipe athletes in a team-based format representing four regions: North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and The Challengers.
The World Challenge marks a new chapter for competitive halfpipe snowboarding and freeskiing. It creates an additional platform for international competition while celebrating the global diversity of both sports.
Park City Joins the Season Two Calendar
Following the New Zealand event, The Snow League regular season will return to some of the most iconic venues in snow sports. Aspen Snowmass will host the opening regular season event from January 7 to 9, 2027. The series will then move to Park City Mountain, USA, from January 21 to 23.
The season finale will once again take place in LAAX, Switzerland, from March 11 to 13, where the 2027 Snow League World Champions will be crowned.
A significant addition to the calendar is Park City Mountain, one of the world’s most recognized winter sports destinations and a future host venue for the 2034 Olympic Winter Games. The resort will introduce an upgraded 22-foot halfpipe, offering athletes a new stage for progression and performance.
New Format and Expanded Athlete Field
Season Two will also feature several competition format updates. The freeski field will expand from 16 to 24 athletes. Snowboard and freeski competitions will be integrated across all three competition days.
Qualification rounds will take place on Day One. Quarterfinals will follow on Day Two. Semifinals and Finals will conclude the action on Day Three, creating a more consistent experience for athletes and spectators alike.
Founded by three-time Olympic champion Shaun White, The Snow League continues to position itself as a major platform for snowboard and freeski halfpipe competition. With growing international broadcast coverage and an expanding global audience, the league aims to further strengthen the visibility of the sports and provide additional opportunities for elite athletes worldwide.
Season Two promises another exciting winter of world-class competition, progression and storytelling as snowboarders and freeskiers battle for championship titles across New Zealand, North America and Europe.
