Canada Snowboard camps 2013

The association will bring together the country’s leading experts to benefit young athletes.
Canada Snowboard will host talent development camps for up-and-coming snowboardcoss and freestyle athletes in 2013.

These camps are designed to bring together the best coaching staff and integrated support team staff in the country to help develop the next generation of champions.

Athletes from across the country who will attend the camps will receive first-class coaching on the snow along with expertise from IST specialists like nutritionists, sports psychologists and biomechanics.

Canada Snowboard Sport Development Director Dustin Heise explained, “We want to expose these kids to all the pieces that need to come together to create champions and we want to bring their parents into the process too, so they know what to expect as their children move through our system towards the National Team.”

Heise added that the costs for the camps will be subsidized by Canada Snowboard, through support from its generous partners like the Trillium Foundation in Ontario and Winsport’s Canada Olympic Park;
In order to assist athletes and their families, ensuring they are able to make the most of these valuable training opportunities.
