IMPORTANT CHANGES ON THE 2017 WORLD SNOWBOARDING POINTS LISTS!

Dear Nation representatives, World Snowboard Tour informs you on very important changes on the World Snowboarding Points Lists (WSPLs) and the World Snowboard Tour (WST) platform hosting the WSPLs. Every national association, event organizer, coach and rider is directly affected by this.

The WSPLs for Slopestyle, Halfpipe and Big Air are the only worldwide accepted rankings in freestyle snowboarding. They are utilized by Nations, FIS, IOC, event organizers, coaches and riders for: event seeding, event entry, national & Olympic qualification spots, performance tracking and talent scouting.

Results from every rider and every event worldwide (FIS and Independent) have been included into the WSPLs since 2012 to provide the base structure for the freestyle snowboard sport. TTR/WST have financed this effort entirely out of their operating budget. The time has come now that every stakeholder contributes to the financing of the WSPLs and joins the WST as an affiliated event or rider.

From January 1st 2017 onward, any event and rider that is not WST affiliated will be excluded from the World Snowboarding Points Lists and the World Snowboard Tour Platform!

We kindly ask YOU – as the Nations – to forward this information and invite the riders and events of your country to join the WST, keep their benefits and secure the sports structure for freestyle snowboarding.
