Norwegian National Championship: the results

Four days of snowboarding in the Norwegian Championship has ended successfully. Riders from all Norway competed in carving, snowboardcross, halfpipe and slopestyle. We are left with memories of spectacular runs, great performances from young talents and two new King’s Cup champions.

140 riders ranging from the best riders internationally to the young local talents participated in this year’s championship, showing the diversity of snowboarding in Norway. A carefully elected jury awarded the king’s cup to Thea Stenshagen and Even Solbra for the best performances of the entire event. Thea Stenshagen also ended up with the overall-title, as well as winning both in halfpipe and slopestyle, making her a deserved winner of the king’s cup. Solbra entred the championship as an underdog, but won the judges over with a perfect run in the slopestyle competition. The younger talents also got a chance to show off during the competition, proving that Norway has plenty of future world-class snowboarders. Even in the the big slopestyle arenas the youngest junior riders performed great tricks.

The weather conditions were great, and the atmosphere was exceptional throughout the Championship, making us look forward to next year’s event!
