USASA Nationals 2007

USA.SA Nationals Champs 2007 was a huge event with more than 1400 rider on the starting list arrived from 32 series around north America to define the USA ranks 2007. With 5 competition every day for 5 days, it was a big celebration of the snowboard colture.

Every days hundreds of riders challange in every competition: slope style, half pipe, boardercross, dual slalom and giant slalom. A huge staff with double juries for freestyle, and double crono for alpine, allowed quick competition and respect of the time tables. The number of age groups is bigger than in Europe with categories under7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17, and so on. For the best rider and competitors from other country there was the “Open Class”, preatty closet o a professional level of riding, while for disable riders there was the Adaptive category.

The general level was high due to the qualification system of this competition: just the best rider from every USASA Series can join the National. In this way the best riders from all USA arrived in Northstar to compete for the final ranks 2007 and the definition of the national junior team. All this rapresent the biggest snowboard event of the world. WSF delegates spent a lot of time with the adaptive riders, to understand better how to manage and organize dedicated competition for them. The attitude of this athlets was absolutly incredible: even if official ranks stated a different result, best team of the USA National was the Adaptive Action Sport Team, no question.
