World Snowboard Day 11th Edition!

EVENT TYPE

Banked Slalom

Date And Time

22 January 2017

World Snowboard Day, the largest Snowboarding Event in the world, returns after ten years held in December with a new mid-season date. The impact of climate change and the unfortunate lack of early season snowfall are major factors that influenced this decision. The countdown has begun, 80 days to go until we enter the next decade of the original globally held on-snow event: World Snowboard Day.

Join us on January 22 2017 to celebrate the 11th edition of World Snowboard Day

World Snowboard Day is a day to celebrate snowboarding in all its facets.

The same three ambassadors that supported WSD in 2015 are on board again to share their experience and motivate their communities: Gian Simmen (SUI), Wang Lei (PRC) and  Rob Kingwill (USA).

You will hear more from our ambassadors and their crews as the winter season unfolds.

Organizers and media partners find all assets they need to plan an event or write about World Snowboard Day online. www.world-snowboard-day.com is updated with your events and contributions throughout the season.

ABOUT WORLD SNOWBOARD DAY
Since 2006, World Snowboard Day has offered a welcome opportunity for the international snowboard community to promote the sport and its unique subculture by providing a tool that invites a broader audience to participate in the sport. The chance to try a variety of activities for free is a first step to inspire people to pick up snowboarding and develop a keen interest. World Snowboard Day is supported by the World Snowboard Federation (WSF), Oz Conseil, GoSki.cn, SnowSports Industries America (SIA) and Token Consulting. These organizations and companies build the backbone of WSD in Europe, Asia and America. More info www.world-snowboard-day.com
