WSD in China

Wang Lei, Chinas top snowboarder, once again patrons World Snowboard Day in China and lends his valuable insights and influence towards the event for an even greater success.

All seven participating resorts will grant free access for all snowboarders, the program and WSD activities vary from resort to resort.

The movie line up boasts international productions that are premiering in China including Absinthe Films TWEL2VE and True Color Films SNOW CONES AND COTTON CANDY.

World Snowboard Day is a unique concept of snowboarding, a free and open day to celebrate snowboarding everywhere in the world. This year more than 33 winter sports resorts in 14 countries will organize a variety of free activities in which everyone and anyone can participate.

Whether you’re a beginner or an expert rider, whether you’re as agile as a mountain goat or more like a moose, the international snowboard community (federations, ski areas, clubs, shops, pro riders, associations and brands) have brewed up an unbelievable program for you: free lessons for newcomers, contests, demonstrations, equipment tests, film viewings, parties and concerts, all in a festive, warm and welcoming atmosphere!

EuroSIMA, WSF, Outdoor Sports Valley – who are organizing the event – have doubled their efforts each and every year so that snowboard fever is caught by as many people as possible. As of last year they have joined forces with two additional very important partners, SnowSports Industries America and Core Power Asia, in order to reinforce World Snowboard Day’s presence in North America and Asia. The goal is to offer everyone the opportunity to participate in this one-of-a-kind day in order to discover (for free!) the joys of snowboarding.
