Mitchell Brown and Torah Bright won the Burton New Zealand Open Half Pipe

Southern Hemisphere snowboarding took a huge step forward at the Halfpipe contest of TTR FIVE(5)STAR event Burton New Zealand Open, held at Snow Park NZ, Wanaka.

Defending Women’s TTR World Snowboard Tour Champion Torah Bright (AUS), posted her first title win of the season, joined by fellow antipodean, Mitchell Brown (NZE), who held off international challengers to claim his first ever career title. TTR Tour Ranking leaders change as a solid second placing from both Scotty Lago (USA) and Kelly Clark (USA) move them each into the TTR World #1 spot, as the Tour gears up to cross the Tasman Sea for the upcoming Australian stops.
